At the 2025 China International Western Optoelectronics Conference on December 13, during the award ceremony for the 11th China Optical Engineering Society Science and Technology Award—a prestigious accolade in China's optical engineering field—our institute, as the second contributing entity, was honored with the second prize in the "Technical Invention Category." This recognition was achieved by the Space Debris Pulsed Laser High-Precision Ranging and Driving Technology, developed with the participation of Associate Researcher Long Mingliang and Senior Engineer Yan Zhaojun. The award further enhances our institute's scientific research achievements, showcasing our technical expertise and outstanding innovation capabilities in space debris detection.  The award was strictly evaluated in accordance with the "China Optical Engineering Society Science and Technology Award Management Regulations," undergoing multiple rounds of screening including formal review, written evaluation, and on-site defense. The final review committee adhered to the core principle of "quality first, no exceptions," meticulously selecting 48 top-tier projects from a vast pool of submissions for recognition, including 8 first prizes and 9 second prizes in the "Technical Invention Award.".

The China Optical Engineering Society Science and Technology Award is a prestigious honor approved by the National Office for Science and Technology Awards. It is the highest recognition in the field of optical engineering in China, aimed at honoring individuals and teams who have achieved outstanding accomplishments or made significant contributions in scientific research, technological innovation and development, application of scientific achievements, and industrialization in the field of optical engineering. This award seeks to further motivate optical science and technology professionals, encourage independent innovation, and promote the advancement of optical science and technology as well as industrial development in China.
